Template:Politicsboxend Elections in Namor refer to national-level elections, regional elections (district and autonomous republic levels) and local elections (prefecture level and below).

The first election in Namorese history was held in NMR 2252 under the Republic of Namor. While initially the elections were free and fair, internal conflicts and other issues ultimately led to the deterioration of the democratic system. The Liberationist Party of Namor, which took power in NMR 2290, became the ruling party. Elections were held, but mainly for show. This changed starting the NMR 2320, when democratic reforms led to the emergence of meaningful opposition parties. Direct elections for President-General began in the late NMR 2320s; prior to that, the Namorese Central Council - the country's national legislature - elected one to that office.

Types of elections

Presidential elections

According to the Constitution of Namor, the President-General can serve at most two consecutive five-year terms (ten years in total). Presidential elections are held nationwide every five years; the victor of the election is determined solely by popular vote. A candidate must receive a majority of votes (50.01% of votes or more) in order to be considered the victor. If the candidates receive a plurality, a second round is held between the highest-voted candidates.

Central Council elections

Central Council elections are held along with presidential elections, and are also held every five years. Unlike the President-General, who has a term limit, deputies of the CenCo have a five-year unlimited term limit.
