Grand Admiral Elsie Ridder van Varenhorst GCA GCB DCAE OMM FC DSO (born; 1 May 2037) is an officer of the Imperial Atmoran Space Command who distinguished herself during the Atmoran-Vrakyan War commanding the Imperial Ninth Fleet.
She served as the Captain of the IASC Paladin, in 2067 she was appointed by Admiral Falkemayer to be her second-in-command to the Procyon Fleet and made her the Vice-Commander of the Fleet. In 2071 when Vrakyan Forces attacked the Colony of Terra Elizabeth, she was given command of the Imperial Ninth Fleet and relieved the colony from the siege along with Admiral Praas and Rear Admiral Silver. She was promoted to Grand Admiral after the victory at Battle of Tarath along with Admiral Praas. Varenhorst's Ninth Fleet and Praas' Fifth Fleet later waged many victorious battles against the Vrakyan Space Command, until Vrakya surrendered to Grand Admiral Praas in 2073. After the war, Grand Admiral Varenhorst was given authority over a Sector of Vrakyan Space.
