Eran, officially the Eranian Empire, is a nation in southwestern Asia. It is bordered by Magarsha to the west, Qazin to the north, Ozbek to the north-northeast, Turky to the northeast, Barat to the east-northeast, Bo to the east, Zonha to the far east, and the Bharat Uninhabitable Region (BUR) to the southeast.

Eran is very similar to Magarsha in terms of civil liberties and political freedom. No political opposition of any kind is allowed and civil liberties are heavily violated. Fringe cultural, ethnic, political, and religious groups found on the literal fringes of the country are persecuted, many of which are exported to Ozbek as slaves and to Magarsha for unknown reasons.

Eran is a member of the ESEP, however has remained almost entirely free from Magarshan intrusion. Eran exports an immense amount of valuable minerals, gemstones, and petroleum. Eran also has a smaller market of agriculture and tourism in the northern regions along the Aral Sea. Despite owning an immense amount of wealth, calculated to be approximately 12% of Earth’s GDP, most of the country’s population is in the lower middle class. This is likely due to the aristocracy owning most of the country’s wealth and a large number of factory and mine workers. Eran’s close ties and similarity to Magarsha do not bode well for the future of the treatment of Eranian citizens.

Etymology

Eran is a form of a variety of terms used to refer to the southwestern part of the country for thousands of years. Other terms include Iran, Aryan, and Persha. The current term is thought to be the first recorded term for the area and may mean "one who is skillful," however this cannot be confirmed and is only rooted by word-of-mouth.
