Zonha, officially the Federal Directorate of Zonha, is a nation in eastern Asia. It is bordered by the Goby Uninhabitable Region (GUR) to the north, Bo to the northwest, Eran to the west, and the Zomia Uninhabitable Region (ZUR). It has a coast with the Yellow Sea to the northeast, the East Zonhan Sea to the east, the South Zonhan Sea to the south, and the Bihar Gulf to the west.
Zonha ranks moderately low in civil liberties and moderately in political freedom, however these scores were documented before the overthrow of the Zonhan government. Estimated rankings put Zonha in the bottom five of civil liberties and political freedom. Recently, individual rights have been stripped, martial law has been enforced, all federal and state government officials have been replaced, and all government elections have been terminated. Opposition political parties and ideologies and criticism of the government are banned. Before the government overthrow, free speech and press was restricted and labour laws were sparse. Prison conditions were and are very low and have been criticised internationally. Political freedom was diminished by the directorate form of government and was low under the previous director.
Zonha adopted an isolationist policy after Tong Huang took power, and was already fairly isolated geographically. Zonha is made up of harsh environments ranging from a stormy tropical climate to a hot desert climate. Zonha lacks many natural minerals valued by the world, and is fairly underdeveloped. However, Zonha has historically been a major economic power and still has the infrastructure of that time period. Zonha’s economic decline and isolationism has put it at a standstill internationally. Currently, Zonha mainly produces cheap manufactured goods and chemicals.
Etymology
Zonha is an altered form of its native name, Zhōnghuá. It originates from Zonhan translations of "central state," which represented the fact that at the time it was the most significant and unifying nation in the area.
