The Republic of Eveleigh and Sariyah, colloquially known as the Eveleighan and Sariyahan Republic or just Eveleigh and Sariyah is a country located in the northwestern reaches of Greater Dienstad, bordering Slacaria to the south and Imperialisium to the west. It is a directorial republic headed by a council of executive ministries, the Grand National Council which lords over twelve cantons, each with their own independent executive councils. The country is governed from the Acacia Garden District and the capital city of Broken Shield, while its largest city and chief financial center is the port city of Mystharbour. The Gilmour Mountains roughly bisects the country in two, with the Sariyahans in the north and the Eveleighans situated in the south.

The first humans to arrive in Eveleigh and Sariyah did so around the turn of the last ice age, with archaeological records supporting human habitation to the north and the south of the Gilmour Mountains as early as 8500 BCE. A loose confederation of settlements may have existeed early on in the early bronze age, but most settlements would remain independent through the rise of the city-state era around 3200 BCE. The Eveleighans based their trajectory on an early form of democracy with the landed gentry being able to vote; the northern Kingdom of Sariyah appeared around 2700 BCE, with an absolute monarhcy hostile to the city-states to the south. Eventually, fears of an invasion from the ever-increasing Sariyahan Kingdom would lead to the formation of the First Eveleighan Republic in 1885 BCE. The status quo of constant wars and fears of wars would linger for the next thousand years, as the two countries became intertwined with one another. The Kingdom of Sariyah defeated the First Eveleighan Republic at the Battle of Acacia Gardens in May 921 CE, leading to the formation of the Second Eveleighan Republic in Broken Shield. The Eveleighans would wage war in the 13th century CE to regain lost territory, ultimately triumphing at the Battle of Castlereagh in defeating the Sariyahan Kingdom once and for all and annexing it into the Republic. The affairs of commerce and trade in the centuries following the unification of Eveleigh and Sariyah would begin to mend ties between the two erstwhile enemies, and by 1885 CE the Constitution of Evernham was signed at Skystead Keep. The country would maintain a policy of armed neutrality against its Dienstadi neighbors throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.

Eveleigh and Sariyah is a directoral republic with suffrage extended to every adult citizen over the age of 20. The Congress of Castlereagh handles the affairs of state in legislation, possessing the authority to usurp the will of the executive ministers through a supermajority vote. The pro-business government fosters a political culture promoting equality, individualism, liberty, and personal autonomy. The country has a very small, concentrated national bureaucracy by design, streamlining governance and preventing the rise of corruption and spoils. Each prefecture has a high degree of autonomy from Broken Shield.

One of the most economically prospoerous nations in northwest Greater Dienstad, Eveleigh and Castlereagh is considered a middle-tier military power but a popular diplomatic broker owing to its armed neutrality. It possesses an extremely high GDP per capita and one of the larger disposable household incomes in Greater Diensstad. Eveleigh and Sariyah ranks highloy in economic competitiveness, innovation and productivity; its human rights record has improved in recent decades with the advent of the social safety net, free healthcare and free education. Its reliance on business-first policies have left critics to accuse the nation of possessing a level of income inequality that cannot be sustained on the long curve, despite the advent of the welfare state.
