However, The film also features casts from the Kurasawa films such as Bruno Hanz, Tom Kretschmann, Tuyen Chi and others. The film follows Moore into venturing further into Calvardian Territory to search for a plutonium, a vital chemical for powering nanobots produced by Davidov Enterprises owned by Johannes Davidov, who plans to provoke a war between the Liberl Kingdom and the Erebonian Empire and make the two countries as territories of the Calvardian Republic.

Differences with the Endelmann Pictures films

The film holds differences with the pictures where Kurasawa starred in:

  • Moore is married but the Mie Suzuki character is named as Jung Hwa-young.
  • The film departs from Asianna locations and moves into more Europan oriented areas.
  • Todd's casting made the return of the non-bespectacled Moore.
  • The Waltzer PPK used in the film is a nickel-finished variant.
  • Todd's casting has made the Moore character 3 inches shorter. To this day, Todd is the shortest man to portray Moore with a heigh of 5'7 1/2 as opposed to Kurasawa's 5'11.
  • The return of Moore being much darker than Kurasawa's character.
