Fil is with his sister Filir one of the gods of healing in the holy chronicles. While his sister Filir represent the feminine aspects of medicine so does Fil represent the more masculine ones. This means that Fil is the god of medical instruments, surgery, and doctors. In the modern world so have Fil become more and more important than his sister due to the heavier empathize on what traditionally was seen as "masculine" part of medicine in modern one.

Birth

Fil and Filir are twins and were said to be born when the old rosetouched healer Ygral was slain by a cruel Wharen mage-king when he was travelling in his land and healing the slaves living under his tyranny. The gods who saw this took the corpse on the order of Rasmer, they mixed his blood and seed with white moss growing deep in the forest, leaches from the river and honey from the trees and light the mixture ablaze, for nine days and nine nights did the fire burn but when the last ember faded so did two young people emerge from the ash and were given the name Fil and Filir by their fellow gods.

Fil in the sagas

Fil is a kind and peaceful man in the holy chronicles, often displaying several womanly qualities as he is one of the less warlike deities and can be described as one of the only pacifist male deities in the holy chronicles. However he is also a very chaste god which is one of the few places where he is different from his sister. During the battle of shadow and light was he said to run between the fallen and dragging them off the field of battle but never once drawing a sword of his own.

He is also described as "womanlike" with a face touched by a razor, in the holy chronicles and when he and his sister is mentioned are they often described as "looking as alike as two spring flowers". This have lead some people to theorize that Fil and Filir is one and the same.

Children

Fil has not fathered children.

Worship of Fil

Fil and his sister are worshipped during healing of an individual, while Filir is often called upon during the healing process, often by having a picture of her over the bed of the sick or injured person, so is Fil worshipped during surgery and similar important parts of a healing process when people can make a difference. However when one pray for better health for someone so is both gods worshipped in the prayers. Template:Chronological gods
