Symbology

The current flag as has been unchanged since its original adoption in 1755, uses the traditional colors of Wassilia being white, blue and green. The blue sash represents the multitude of uses that the bodies of water mean to Wassilia from shipping and trade to security and to the abundant food source. The green represents the dense forests in the south and west as well as the fertile farmland of the northwest. These areas have been vital to the economic stability of Wassilia. The white represents the peace among the Wassilian provinces and unification into a Federal Republic.
