Freethinker Declaration of Severence

The Freethinker Declaration of Severence is a statement adopted by the Mainland Assembly on 23rd March 1883, which announced that the Mainland Colonies, nominally under the Mainland Dominion then at war with Midlonia were now independent states, and thus no longer a part of the Midlonian Empire. It is usually referred to as the Severence or even simply the 23rd.
The Declaration itself was a short document, dryly noted at the time for being dwarfed as a text by its preamble and signatories. Regardless, the document was one of immense cultural and political importance, showing the unity of all the Mainland colonies within the Dominion against the Greater Kingdom.
