Fropband is a popular modern rock band originating from Krois, Vyvland. The group has had their music categorised predominantly as alternative rock, although it varies diversely within and between each of their three albums. Fropband are the most successful band from twenty-first century Vyvland by album sales and charting singles. They generally sing in English, although some songs, particularly on their latter two albums, are performed in their native Vyvlander. The group's name is an adaptation of the word fropbaand, a type of traditional Vyvlander rural musical group.

The band formed when three of the current members - Oskur Lamreud, Wendel Kurlmaan and Nikola Snoifer - in addition to former members Krystine Horner and Zef Lovel, met at the University of Krois in 2005. Originally a five-piece group, a few changes within their first year brought the band to its current line-up. Their first album, Spektateer, catapulted them to success in Vyvland after being discovered by the mainstream media one year after its release in 2006. Since then, their success has expanded into many countries throughout Esquarium, achieving multiple number-one singles in Ghant and other countries.
