The Fyrish Embassy, Kienk'ang, (中飛延邸) trjung-pjur-lan-ti′ in Shinasthana, is the primary diplomatic mission of the Federation of Fire Territories, commonly known as Fyrland, in Themiclesia. The embassy grounds cover a huge area, approximately 177,500 m2, located at Tsikw Commune #3, inside The Citadel of Kien-k'ang.

Role

The Fyrish embassy plays host to diplomatic efforts between Fyrland and Themiclesia, sustaining Fyrland-Themiclesia relations, and deals with political, economic, and cultural exhanges between the two countries. Visa services are offered to Themiclesian and other nationals in Themiclesia, which acts as a gateway for immigration, employment, and education within Fyrland.

History

The Federation of Fire Territories established diplomatic relations with Themiclesia under Emperor Gwidh-mjen in 1727, as a means to facilitate trade between the two countries more efficiently. Highly valuable goods were often exchanged for the sale of commodities, such as Themiclesian porcelain, jewelry, and silks, in exchange for Fyrish sugar, furs, and molasses, which were traded over vast distances by large merchant concerns. These merchant concerns were represented by the original diplomatic mission, which hosted the House of Fyrish Trading Representatives (飛延賈使室)[1], on the modern embassy grounds. The site of the mission, within The Citadel, meant that Themiclesian and Fyrish traders were always surrounded by the political tools needed to setup new trade missions, and manage existing ones, which made it a hive of activity among the rich and wealthy.

Subsequent expansion

The later expansion of the grounds to include the Fyrish Envoy to Themiclesia's Residence (使震旦使室)[2] in 1859 (1859), allowed greater political exchange between the countries, and facilitated trade deals such as the Themiclesian purchase of Fyrish tugboats.

The final expansion to the grounds in 1911 (1911), the Themiclesian Consulate (監震旦寺)[3], would see the grounds expand to their full ~177,500 m2, with the configuration remaining consistent throughout the 20th century.
