The Geadish People's Party (Geadish: Γαυδστε Φȣλκσπαρτιετ translit. Gaudste Fulkspartiet, Vyvlander: Geedz Vulkspaart, abbreviated ΓΦΠ or GVP) is a Vyvlander political party representing the interests of Geadish minority on the Lishag Peninsula of Nevel, in western Vyvland. It is the main political force in the Geadish-speaking areas of Vyvland, with the party's main competition being the centre-left Independent Geads and right-wing Geadish Autonomy Party along with the mainstream Vyvlander parties.

The party is broadly centrist in its political outlook, although it is officially 'politically unaligned' according to its website and is often described as big-tent. Its main goal is securing rights and further political representation for the Geadish-speaking area, partly through the creation of a new province or autonomous region to encompass the area.

The party has been in government on the City Council of Lishag, Vyvland's largest majority-Geadish city, since its first local elections in 1984. Since 2008, it has been part of a coalition government in the Provincial Diet of Nevel, with GVP deputy leader Georgus Kåpstein being the province's Chancellor. As part of the nationwide Alliance for Independence along with other minority parties, the GVP has 3 wetaans in the Parliament of Vyvland.

History

The Geadish People's Party was first founded by a group of activists in 1919 to represent the Geadish minority in Vyvland's parliament. It held at least one of the three parliamentary seats for Lisaagen (now Lishag) from the 1920 general election until the partition of Vyvland in 1935, when the seat was abolished as part of South Vyvland. The Geadish People's Party, along with all other political movements, was banned by Admiral Jueves one year later. However, a 'Geadish People's Party' later participated in the rigged elections under Erman Sanker, although the current party does not view itself as a successor to this.

The modern GVP was founded in 1983 after Vyvlander reunification. It has been represented in Parliament ever since, joining the Alliance for Independence as a founding member in 2004. Its greatest representation came after the 2013 general election, in which it won three seats, in addition an outright majority of the votes in the Lishag constituency.
