History of Acrea |
The Golden Decade, also called the Roaring 80s (Nordic: Rytande 80erne), was a period of economic prosperity, technological advancement, and distinct, far-reaching social, artistic, and cultural dynamism in Acrea from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. The decade is often attributed to economic causes; an economic boom driven by the sharp rise of Acrea's oil industry throughout the 1970s accompanied by a landmark free trade agreement between Acrea and Ossoria under the auspices of the Gabhrán Accords greatly benefitted the Acrean economy and led to increased incomes nationwide. The boom drove consumer culture in many Acrean households, with expendable incomes inflating rapidly along with stock market participation. This era also led to major reforms of market regulation in many sectors as the Acrean government sought to prevent the development of bubbles in vulnerable areas such as real estate.
