Great Socialist Experiment

The Great Socialist Experiment was an idea pushed during the late 19th Century, primarily within the newly formed Federal Republic of Foxomexra that aimed to establish an international commune of peoples.

In the wake of the Foxomexran Civil War and subsequent dissolution of the Empire of Foxomexra, both domestic and international groups saw the new state as a prime candidate for ideological experimentation. There was a general acceptance of socialist ideals in the early Republic, although the dreams of creating a communist society were never realized. Significant attempts were made, and saw limited success especially following the Eastern War in the Province of Esheara during the Eshearan Split. In the latter stages of the Split, Esheara was temporarily the seat of the self-proclaimed "People's Society" before the involvement of the Federal military. During its short-lived existence, the People's Society effectively operated as an anarchist commune.
