Guiler Batemara born 30 October 1966) is a Cyrudan politician serving as President of Cyruda since 19 February 2016. Prior to assuming the presidency, he was prime minister from 2011 to 2016, and president of the Social Democratic Party from 2007 to 2016. Batemara was elected President under the nomination of the SDP. However, as per article 96 of the Constitution, he was required to resign his party membership prior to taking office.
The beginning of his Presidency was marked by efforts to finalize the ratification process of Cyruda's entry into the Coalition of Crown Albatross and by the holding of a membership referendum. His cabinet introduced changes to the tax code, passed a fiscalisation law and started several large infrastructure projects. Batemara supported the expansion of same-sex couples' rights and introduced the Life Partnership Act. In 2021, Batemara sent 2,000 Cyruda troops and four naval warships to Alecburgh to assist the government of Prime Minister Sparrow Creed at the outbreak of the Cambrian Revolution.
