Helen Shields-Khan is a forensic scientist who served as a commissioned officer in the National Military Police of Al-Khilafah and is the widow of Grand Imam Sikandar Ali Khan.

Early life and education
Born into an upper-middle class family in Durham,
her father, Mark Shields II, was a police officer in the Durham Constabulary and her mother, Mary Shields (nee Smith) is a headteacher.
She is a descendent of British senior Jamaican Constabulary Force officer Mark Shields.
Later, the family moved to Stroud, Gloucestershire, for their daughter’s education. She attended Alderman Knight School from the age of eleven and left it’s sixth form at the age of 20.
She studied Biology at Exeter University, graduating with a first class degree, before doing a PHD in Forensic Science at the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences.
Career
She practised forensic science privately for years until joining the National Military Police of Al-Khilafah in 2115. She is a First Lieutenant in this force whose scientific work has lead to the apprehension of 115 murderers, 113 rapists, 105 child molesters and 15 traitors.
Personal life
Helen Shields-Khan was married to Grand Imam Sikandar Khan (who she met online) from 2108 till his death in 2121.
She is a convert to Islam, being born into a household that followed Northumbrian Christianity and having been an atheist from the age of sixteen till the age of 24, when she converted to Islam.
She had one daughter, Khadijah, who is eleven.
