The J.21 Uhlan is heavy fighter developed by Myers-Gibbs Aerospace for the Imperial & Federal Navy. The J.21 is meant to be a significant element of R.u.B Traegergeschwader, and provides a long range patrol, scout, escort, superiority, and strike capability in both void and atmospheric environments. As a heavy fighter, when compared to the lighter J.17, the J.21 boasts much greater range and payload capabilities. In many aspects, the heavier payload and greater range of the J.21 makes it a superior platform for most missions, but the lower cost, and greater maneuverability of the lighter J.17 ensures that the two co-exist within the R.u.B carrier fleet. The J.21 is a second generation fighter, still heavily influenced by older intrasystem craft, but taking advantage of new warp capabilities. The J.21 is also heavily used by Imperial & Federal Aerospace Troops, and is in current mass production.
