Kallixeina the Reclaimer (also known as Kallixeina the Restorer or Kallixeina the Great, 937 - 981) was a Symmerian strategos (general) and regent of the Symmerian Empire. The most significant Symmerian military commander of her day, Kallixeina was instrumental in restoring the Symmerian Empire from a state of near-dissolution during the 10th Century, reconquering Syara from the Kingdom of Dragovita and ending the Slavokratia, while also defeating the Shao Dynasty to regain control of Serikos and defeating the al-Bashir Caliphate to recapture large swathes of Mansuriyyah. She successfully restored the Zelusian Dynasty to the throne in Parilla by 973, after which she ruled as regent on behalf of Miltiades II until he came of age. An accomplished military commander, he desire to retain near complete control over the Ancient Symmerian army after Miltiades had come to age earned her enemies in the Royal Court, and she was assassinated in May 981. Although the Symmerian Empire would persist for another three hundred years, Kallixeina is often held to be the last truly great general of the Empire, which would spend the remainder of its duration steadily losing territory in a series of rebellions and civil wars before its eventual conquest by the Adamdar Empire. Although heralded by many historians and Syarans a heroic figure, Kallixeina's style of rule is also considered to have endeared a level of warlordism within the Symmerian military that would eventually spring rebellions among the likes of Seleucus' Civil War
