Slavokratia (literally "Slav rule") was the term utilized by the Symmerians to refer to the conquest of Syara by the Slavs of the Kingdom of Dragovita in the 10th Century, lasting from 919 to 973 CE. Slavic rule lasted for 54 years but had a pronounced effect on Syara, triggering the gradual Slavicization of the Syaran people that would ultimately bring about the end of the Hellenic era. Syara was reconquered and the Symmerian Empire reformed by Kallixeina the Reclaimer.
