Karl IX (Karl Jügo Erlsmeutsche Vögternast-Sackseschilt; 3 May 1794 – 28 October 1879) was King of Horteny from 1819 to 1836, and Lord-Chancellor of Heldervin from 1836 until his death in 1879.
Karl was born into the House of Könrad-Vögternast-Sackseschilt-Höllervallen during the Hortenic Interregnum. He was the first son of Prince Agilülf VI of Horteny and Walberga of Sackseschilt-Höllervallen (later King Agilülf VI and Queen Walberga). He became the crown prince when his father reestablished royal authority in 1803. In 1841 he married Viktørja III, Queen of Searenland. They had one child, Prince Karl X, who was excluded from both successions.
