Kosti is the largest city in Behinia with a population of 1.2 million people. Long an important trading center on the Cantalle Ocean, Kosti is home to a very diverse population. After periods of Emmirian, Verdusan, and Quetanan control and invasions from the ruling dynasties of Skith, Behinia established itself as an independent nation in 1922 after a period of Emmirian hegemony. Kosti took prominence due to its significant location and was thus the capital of Behinia until 1963, when it was relocated to Sannar.
