The Kunhegyes Conflict was a military conflict fought between October 1912 and December 1913 as a result of the Ruvelkan Socialist Republic’s support of a an attempted communist insurrection in the Kingdom of Acrea. Although the Republic had initially denied assisting in orchestrating the event, correspondence between the Sípos Administration and the insurrectionist leaders was discovered later that corroborated Acrean suspicions of Ruvelkan support.

The conflict marked a major political turning point for the Socialist Republic. The war devastated the Red Navy and severely weakened what remained of the Red Army following the Syaran-Ruvelkan War. The humiliation and resulting invasion of the Kunhegyes District by Acrea was a major blow to what was left of the National Communist Party’s legitimacy. The war became a major catalyst for political dissonance and was one of many causes that led to the 1914 Ruvelkan Revolution, the 1914 December Uprising, and subsequent start of the Ruvelkan Civil War.
