Louis Ferdinand von Reginrave (12 August 1988) or simply Louis Ferdinand I is the current Emperor of the Democratic East Europan Union. He succeeded his brother, Maximillian III on 2 May 2031, following his death and the Gneisenau Interregnum. He is also known as Generalissimo Louis Ferdinand I as part of his Imperial title of being the commander of the Imperial Armed Forces of East Europa.

Louis Ferdinand was overshadowed by his elder brother, being that he was second-in-line. Unlike his elder brother who had an early upbringing with Imperialism, Louis was trained under his father's careful tutelage, hence he acted more conservative and more open to foreign nations. Following his brother's ascent, he was stripped of his inheritance, and declared persona non grata by his own brother in order to consolidate his rule. He was exiled to the Erebonian Empire, where he became one of the most staunch anti-Imperial speakers during the Imperial Crisis and in the Eurasianna War.

Following the Eurasianna War, the Imperial Resistance took over the government and East Europa went through the process of transforming the government from an authoritarian to a consititutional form. This would later become known as the Gneisenau Interregnum in preparation for Louis Ferdinand's ascent. He returned to his homeland the following year where he was proclaimed Emperor ruling over a moderate Constitutional Parliament.
