Hverhöfn (pronounced [ˈhverˌhœfn]) is the capital city of Hverland. With a population of 81,740 as of 2022, it is also the most populous settlement in the country, housing over 60% of the national population. The city is positioned in the southwestern coves of Eyjatjorn island, the largest in the Hverland archipelago. The city and serves as the heart of the country's political, economic, and cultural activities. Covering an area of 124 square kilometers, Hverhöfn boasts a high density of 660 residents per square kilometer.

Hverhöfn was founded as a city at the end of the Settlement Era in 1113 under the name Midvinterblot.
