The Militar Sense Frontera, also known as MSF, is a NGO, mercenary force. Some have described it as a private military company (or a private military contracting agency). Experts have pointed to it being more alike the Free companies of the renaissance, than to that of a modern PMC. MSF has never acknowledged nor denied their status as a corporate entity. Contractors have reportedly taken part in various conflicts for the last 4 decades, including their first major appearances in the ASU Civil War, as well as, from 2009 until 2015, in the War in Aramas.

Abandoning their home countries, the soldiers of "Military without Frontiers" provide their services to all clients, regardless of nation or ideology, estimates suggest one or multiple operating locations in the Columbian Sea.

History

Formation

In 1971 the government of New Velacruz was looking at the thaw of the military junta that had ruled the country for a decade. The Velacruz Armed Forces was looking at broad cuts in its personnel. opposition leader Cristóbal Sainz demanded that then New Velacruz Governor-General Leo Menéndez Tovar dismantle some of the New Veracruz Special Forces units such as 9th Demi-Brigade and Torxa.

MSF mercanaries during the Third Brush War

Crístoforo Zavala — an Veleazan who escaped Communist Veleaz, formerly a colonel charge of the Western section of Torxa — established Militar Sense Frontera (MSF) in 1973. Its aim was to provide work to the many disgruntled soldiers the government laid-off. Initially MSF provided training to various armed groups around the globe, and still continues to. But has grown further to provide covert and semi-official support to armed forces in a combat capacity.

"Many of Zavala's Special Forces students would later join him at MSF after he started recruiting men to assist with the conflict of the Veleaz forces during the Socialist Union's break-up." says Madrid Halicki, one of Zavala's associates in the Velacruz news media.

Activities

As is characteristic of one of the first Mercenary Organizations, MSF was involved militarily in the Third Brush War. The group was notable in its ability to provide all aspects of a highly trained modern army to the less professional forces of SUSa in Sheera. For instance, in Veleaz during the ASU civil war, MSF fielded not only professional fighting men, but armour and support aircraft such as one attack and two Logistic helicopters, infantry fighting vehicles and main battle tanks. Note that these were the property of the client state and not MSF itself. It also possessed medevac capabilities to airlift the wounded out of combat zones via seized airliners.
