The Minister of State Security (Verathi: Minister van Staatsveiligheid), formerly the Minister of the Interior, is the Minister of the Crown in the Arco-Atmoran Cabinet who is responsible for overseeing the federal government's domestic security department, State Security Office. The position was nominally created in 2215 and incorporated the responsibilities associated with the Atmoran Minister of the Interior and the Arcadian Minister of the Interior including responsibility for the federal prison systems of both Atmora and Arcadia (Correctional Service of Atmora-Arcadia), the Arco-Atmoran Federal Police, and the Parole Board of Atmora-Arcadia. The position also assumed nominal control for the Imperial Marechaussee which offically is under the authority of the Ministry of National Defence, however during peacetime the Marechaussee is under nominal authority of the State Security Office. The current state security minister is Jvr. Julianna van Polstra.
