The Democratic Republic of Mushaiyah (Mushaiyan: جمهورية مشياع الديمقراطية; romanized: Jumhuriat al-Mushayaih al-Diymuqratia), known commonly as simply Mushaiyah (Mushaiyan:مُسهَيَِه; romanized: Mushayaih [aːlmaː.sh.j.aj]), is a sovereign state in western Meridia. Mushayiah is a landlocked country, bordering Virshahr to the north, Ummayah to the east and Verpletterant to the south and west. With a population of 17,124,741 and a land area of ???,???, the country occupies a sizeable space in the Meridian continent. The majority of the country's land area is dominated by the Rimal al-Mawt desert, with the remainder of its territory being plateaus and mountains.
