Namgung Wook-yun (25 March 1911 - 21 October 1943) was a Joyonghean General who served in the Joyonghean Soverign Army. During the Third Joyonghean-Quenminese War, He was known for his defensive tactics in early 1939 to delay the Enemy for several months until the arrival of the Commonwealth Forces. He is known for being a good friend of Edward Samegawa, The leading Zanarkian commander in the Joyonghean theatre.
He was killed during the Battle of Mushroom Hill. Edward and Hwa-young's son is named Wook-yun in honor of him.
