The National Alliance (Spanish: Alianza Nacional) is a Hatstheputian right-wing political party founded in 1996 as the legal successor of the Conservative Party. After its foundation, the National Alliance governed at an executive and legislative level for two consecutive terms under the rule of Hernando Mendizábal. Despite Torrijos governed ever since 2004, the NA has maintained its role as the main opposition party to this day, following the trail of the Conservative Party from which it split.
The National Alliance is defined in its foundational manifesto as a right-wing formation "inspired" by the principles of libertarianism, conservatism and capitalism that according to them constitute the basis of Hatstheput. Most importantly, the National Alliance formally abandoned its Pan-Canter aspirations, a position that, although was only present nominally in recent decades, led to the exclusion of Prybournean nationalists from the party. These would go on to form the political party Capitalist Alternative in the same year.
