The National Theatre (Serbian: Narodno pozorište, Mazurian: Teatr narodowy) in Carigrad is the principal Nikolian cultural institution and home of Nikolian ballet, opera and drama and holds a special status of a monument of the Nikolian art and history.
The National Theatre holds a special status in the country thanks to its rich artistic history, efforts to preserve the cultural heritage of the Nikolian people and a mixed repertoire of modern and classical pieces. Today it consists of three artistic ensembles: ballet, drama and opera, while National Ensemble of Folk Dances and Songs of Nikolia "Kolo", even though not part of the National Theatre, tightly cooperates with it. Their performances are held in two venues, the National Theatre main building and the Domangovski Estate at the Dvorsko brdo.
