The Niana cruisers are a class of capital ships utilized by the Union Defense Forces of the Galactic Union. Nearly twice the size of the Ahiri cruisers, the massive Niana-class is defined by its wide wingspan near the back third of the vessel with a long forward section, with the ship overall lacking hard angles and is covered with ovoid forms. Pods attached all around the ship contain cannons, sensor arrays, and viewing ports, the latter fulfilling the ships' original intended role as an exploration and observation vessel. Niana class, though military vessels, are the chief diplomatic ship of the Galactic Union, with their arrival on new worlds to the Union being symbolic of the prestige and honor of the organization.
