Octavius Benedictus Whitewood (11 January 1864 – 22 November 1938) was an Exponential military officer who was appointed governor general of the Myyra Province in 1914. He had become famous waging a long campaign against the revolutionary forces  of Kyashi to retain the territory, but ultimately was defeated.

Early Life and Education

Octavius Benedictus Whitewood was born on 11 January 1864 in Cordium in Hesperidesia. He was the second son of Franciscus Whitewood and Maria Lucilla Clearwater. Both his father and grandfather were artillery officers.

Whitewood, who was a difficult and talkative student, went to school in Sacrament. His family could not afford to send him to the Royal Military Academy in Sacrament, so he later went to the Instruction Battalion in Messambria from 1881 to 1885.
