The Periplous is a hypersonic anti-ship cruise missile currently being produced by Syara. It is expected to enter service with the Syaran Commonality Armed Forces in 2022.

Experience in the Refusal War led the Syaran Commonality Navy to conclude that powerful anti-ship missiles were required to ensure the destruction or large, hostile capital ships employed by some foreign powers in Tyran. Starting in the 1990s the Syaran Commonality produced the Embolon anti-ship missile, then jointly cooperated with Tennai to produce the XheKal, the latter of which is believed to be a major influence on the design of the Periplous. The Periplous is a maneuvering, winged hypersonic cruise missile, equipped with a booster stage solid-fuel engines that accelerates the missile to supersonic speeds, after which a scramjet motor pushes it to hypersonic speeds. The reported range of the Periplous reaches upward to 1,000 kilometers or more, and reportedly reaches speeds of Mach 8.5. The Periplous can be launched from surface vessels, land-based launch platforms, and aircraft.
