The Pyrausta was a fighter aircraft produced by the Republic of Syara.

First flown in 1932, the Pyrausta was intended as a high altitude, highly maneuverable fighter capable of matching any foreign counter part. It was introduced into the Syaran Army Air Corps in 1934 just in time for the start of the Siduri War. It quickly superseded the older Gerana as the primary fighter aircraft of the Inner Sphere. It was serve on every front of the conflict, with more than 34,500 produced; more than any other Syaran fighter aircraft in history. The Pyrausta was armed with both 20mm autocannons and four wing mounted 7.5 mm machine guns. This made it capable of engaging both other fighters and enemy bombers, while operating well at high altitudes where many fighter engagements occurred. While pilots had complaints about the handling of the Pyrausta, especially in a dive, the aircraft was well liked by Syaran maintenance personnel owing to its simple reloading mechanism and multiple inspection panels. The Pyrausta was utilized by both Syara and the Shirvani Dominion throughout the war and in the years after, finally retired from Syaran service in 1945.
