Rainer Spindler (5 June 1933 - 14 August 2020) was a Besmenian politican who served from 1982 to 2002 as Governor of Sedakania.
Spindler, who practiced law before entering politics, began his political career in the late 1960s when he moved to Sedakania. In 1972 he became a deputy of the State Chamber of Sedakania. After the resignation of Gerald Schnabel, Spindler became Sedakanian Minister of the Interior in June 1978.
In 1982 he succeeded Rudolf Volksmann as Sedakania governor and chairman of the BVP Sedakania. During his time as Sedakanian governor, the BVP won the absolute majority in the 1987, 1992 and 1997 elections and was thus able to govern without a coalition partner. After the BVP failed to gain an absolute majority in the 2002 election, he announced his resignation as governor and BVP Sedakania chairman.
