Redbird is a territory of Meridon, comprising of Redbird Island and surrounding islands. It is bordered to the north bySmith Island Territory, to the east by Kalua Territory, to the south by Silvers Island and Mahine territories, and to the west by Mahine and Ohawe territories. Redbird's capital and largest city is is Baymark, while Fort Maris is another significant city on the island.
Redbird has been transiently habitated by various groups for close to 4,000 years, but more permanent settlements began to be established 2,000 years ago. Redbird Island's soil is condusive to large-scale agriculture, and it produces large amounts of rubber and sugarcane for both domestic and international markets, areas that remain staples of its commercial character. Redbird Island was named after the island's mythic Redbird Flock, an abnormally large group of scarlet macaws that exclusively inhabit the island and make appearances in the trees and skies- this herd has had religious significance to Tangaran populaces, as well as being a federally protected landmark by the Interior Department.
Today, Redbird is primarily agricultural in its output, where it produces large amounts of mainly non-foodstuff and commercial crops for manufacturing and export, including sugarcane, rubber, and tobacco; although the latter's cultivation has been steadily declining.
