Retoria is the capital and largest city of metripolitan Angland. It has a large population of 9.8 million, making it the second largest city in Parthenia and still growing. It is located in north-central Angland, in the county of Greater Retoria, on the eastern end of Parthenia. It acts as a major cultural, political and economic centre for both Angland and wider Parthenia. It's influence has earned it the nickname "The Capital of the Wrld".

Etymology

The name "Retoria" originates from Remillian occupation of the Battanian Peninsula, when they established Angligaullica they founded the capital at "Retoridium". This derives from the ancient word for "Soldier's Rest" as it acted as a resting point for Remillian soldiers travelling further south.
