Romassa (Romassan: Rómassa), officially the Federal Republic of Romassa (Romassan: Républica Fedérali di Rómassa), is a country in Southeastern Kulanthir. Located on the Dulmara Ocean and the Bay of Roma, Romassa borders Malgania to the east; Gosigland and Zelensburg to the north; and Argolan and Boretta to the west. Romassa also shares a maritime border with Oran via the island of Bascionnê. It is a federal state administratively divided into 18 states. Its territory also includes several overseas territories. The capital and largest city of Romassa is Roma. Other major urban areas include Norensia, Coruzi, Florenza, Volense, and Rellamo.

In prehistory, Romassa was settled by various Zelic peoples; out of these one tribe rose to major prominence: the Romish. First establishing a small kingdom, the Romish eventually united the region of Solassa—most of modern Romassa—under the Romish Republic. Later, after a civil war, the Romassan Empire was formed in 140 CE. Over the next several centuries, the Romassan Empire would conquer much of Eastern Kulanthir and leave a mark on its culture. In 1005, the Empire fell, giving way to 5 successor kingdoms in mainland Romassa and many more in its conquered territories.
