The Soviet Party of the Russatrova is the only legal, ruling political party in Russatrova and the largest communist organization in Anteria.

Membership

Membership in the party is ultimately a privilege, with a small subset of the general population of Party is an elite class or nomenklatura in Russatrovan society. Party members enjoy many perquisites denied to the average Russatrovan citizen. Among those perks is shopping at well-stocked stores, access to foreign merchandise, preference in obtaining housing, access to dachas and holiday resorts, being allowed to travel abroad, sending their children to prestigious universities, and obtaining prestigious jobs (as well as party membership itself) for their children. It is virtually impossible to join the Russatrovan ruling and managing elite without being a member of the Soviet Party.

To become a party member, one has to be approved by various committees and one's past is closely scrutinized. As generations grow up never having known anything but the SRR, party membership is something one generally achieved after passing a series of stages. Children join the Young Russa, and then, at the age of 14, might graduate to the Communist Youth. Ultimately, as an adult, if one has shown the proper adherence to party discipline or had the right connections one can become a member of the Soviet Party itself.

However, membership also had its obligations. Communist Youth and Soviet Party members are expected not only to pay dues but also to carry out appropriate assignments and "social tasks" as well as compulsory military service. Currently it has a membership of approximately 2 million Russatrovan citizens.
