The Sarissita Accords comprise several protocols that dictate the standards for humanitarian treatment in war. Originally written exclusively for the Cacertian Empire, some nations in Tyran have adopted and ratified the Sarissita Accords as part of their own laws in conflict. The Accords define the basic rights of wartime prisoners for both civilians and military personnel, establishes protections for the wounded and sick, and dictates protections for civilians in and around a warzone.

Rosalia Sarissita, future empress of the Cacertian Empire, drafted the first copy of the Accords in the aftermath of the Divide War having witnessed the lack of facilities, personnel, and medical aid available to both Cacertian soldiers and Syaran POWs during the Desopya Campaign. Upon her return, Rosalia drafted and submitted the first copy for review by the Parliament and Cacerta’s High Command in July 1918. The Sarissita Accords went through several amendments before being ratified by the Cacertian Parliament in February 1919. Tennai, under the leadership of Nilini Kalanadhabhatla, immediately ratified the Accords alongside Cacerta and was the first foreign nation to do so.
