The Kingdom of Savolia (Savolian: Βασίλειο της Σαβολίας, Vasíleio tis Savolías) commonly called simply Savolia is an island nation in Southern Auressia. It borders the Hemetrian Sea to the south and the Galene Sea to the north. Savolia is composed of 139 islands and islets that are inhabited by its population of 18,7 million people. Its capital and largest city is Pethos.
Ancient Savolia is considered the provenance of Western civilization having passed on a colossal philosophical, political, cultural and scientific heritage to Auressia. Savolia was at its height in prominence during the Sellific Era during which almost the entire ancient world was under the influence of Savolian city-states called Poleis (Singular Polis). Following the Fall of Pethos, most of the Savolian archipelago was annexed by the Sabarine Empire.
