Shelby County is a county located northeast of the center of the state of Mentone. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 165,969 or 46% of the state's total 2020 population, making it the most populous county in Mentone.

The county seat is Mentone City, the state capital. Shelby County is part of the Mentone City metropolitan area.
