The Solarian Imperial Army (Solaren: Imperatoria Exercitus Solaris) is the land service branch of Nova Solarius Imperial Forces. It is one of eight service branches of the Solarian Military. It was founded by the Declaration of Swords made by Solus I in 12BGD. The S.I.A fought across the Magna Sea, and was victorious in almost every battle. It was the most dominant force in the Celestial Island Chain. It was the successor to the Haijo Defense Force, which was founded in 15BGD.
The S.I.A is a uniformed service of Nova Solarius and is part of the Department of the Army. The current Chief of Staff of the Solarian Imperial Army (CSSIA) is General Marcus Levius, which is the 230th Chief of Staff in the S.I.A which is in charge of supervising and managing the Imperial Army. The S.I.A is the largest military branch, and has 75,000 active troops, and 300,000 reserves. As a branch of the armed forces, the mission of the Solarian Imperial Army is "to defend and secure battlefields to help the defenseless." The branch participates in conflicts worldwide and is the major ground-based offensive and defensive force of Nova Solarius.
