Zitasso is a federal republic consisting of 4 states, a federal district, and a special administrative division. The 4 Zitassan states are Arravre, Vamora, Romani, and Missoria. The states of Zitasso are bound together in a political union, and possess a number of rights and powers under the Zitassan Consitution, such as regulating intrastate commerce, running elections, creating local governments, and ratifying constitutional amendments. Each state has its own constitution, grounded in republican principles, and government, consisting of three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial.
Each state has equal representation in The Consiglio while representation in the Popular Assembly is based on population. Each state has a representative in The Quadrumvirate, Zitasso's collective head of state, each states Quadrumvir also acts as the states governor.
