The Pickle (Почаи Симмун or Pochai Simmun) is a popular Namorese parody and satire news organization founded in NMR 2340 by Bao Hibiki and Wei Xong. Most of its readers are, according to The Pickle, between the ages of 18 and 50 years old. Since foundation, it has run many satirical news articles, most of them commenting on current events, although there are also a number of stories that are totally made-up and fictional.
History
The Pickle was first founded by Bao Hibiki and his drinking buddy, Wei Xong. Bao was a writer for the Mojing Post, but he was forced to turn in his resignation in NMR 2340 after his latest story, titled "Guns and Glory," contained characters and place names that were completely fabricated. Wei, meanwhile, was not a professional in anything "save for humor." According to Bao, it was Wei who proposed the idea of the two starting some sort of parody news organization.
