The Treaty of Neighbors
The Following Treaty is agreed upon by the nations of Ajerrin, Indragiri and New Timeria on the day November 24th, 2017.
Articles of Peace & Protection
1. PEACE: Ajerrin and its territories, Timeria and Indrgiri affirm their faith and desire to live in peace together on Savai. The Parties, separately and jointly, by means of continuous and effective self-help and mutual aid, will maintain and develop their individual and collective capacity to resist armed attack.
2. ACCESS: The nations will share security and shipping lanes around Savai. The nations will work together for joint security of the Southeastern Jade Sea.
3. PROTECTION: The nations will appoint military and civilian representatives to sit on a newly created council that will work towards the protection of the region.
4. TRAINING: The nations will engage in military training events at periodic times to improve coordination and readiness of all parties.
Articles of Trade
5. SAVAIAN STOCK EXCHANGE (SSE): The Parties shall align the national stock exchanges to create a regional exchange to buy and sell shares of stock, bonds and other securities. The Exchange will provide facilities for issue and redemption of securities and capital events including payment of income and dividends. The Exchange will act as a continuous auction market with buyers and sellers making transactions at a central location in addition to electronic communication.
6. EQUAL EXCHANGE: The Parties establish a trade and cultural exchange agreement, including the ability of businesses from one nation to function in the other as native businesses, following all local national laws and regulations, and paying all local national taxes for any business they do in that nation.
7. CURRENCY: Currencies of parties affiliated in this treaty shall be put into a currency basket, and create a simplified exchange system for the ease of converting and doing business in member nations.
8. TARIFFS: The Parties agree that there shall be no tariff or other monetary charge applied to the services or products originating in or exported from the parties, unless that tariff or other monetary charge be equally applied to all similar services and products domestically performed or produced.
9. RESTRICTIONS: The Parties may not adopt or maintain any prohibition or restriction on the importation of any good of another participating nation or on the exportation or sale for export of any good destined for the territory of another participating nation, except when export prohibitions or restrictions are necessarily and temporarily applied to prevent or relieve critical shortages of foodstuffs or other products essential to the exporting nation.
10. JOINT PROJECTS: That both nations are willing and capable of committing a proportional degree of resources and energies to any joint projects, so that the resources of one or the other are not too stressed or abused.
Articles of Immigration
11. BORDERS: Borders shared between both Parties shall make these boundaries apparent, while providing immediate access into either nation for its citizens, without need of passport checks.
12. INDIVIDUAL TRAVEL: Citizens shall be allowed into other nations territory without screening, and identifying the length and purpose of their visit. Indefinite stay can be granted to those who have obtained proper authorization from the nations they are emigrating to.
13. EXTRADITION: Citizens who enter into other nations who are accused of a crime in their home country can be extradited back to said home country. The parties may not adopt any laws prohibiting or restricting extradition rules on citizen.
Articles of Environmental Protection
14. Savai Environmental Protection Agency (SEPTA): Regional agency formed to protect the region's natural environment and promote the development of an environmentally friendly region.
15. CO2 EMISSIONS: The parties agree to cut C02 emissions per capita yearly and put restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions.
16. REGULATIONS: All companies within Savai will be held to the same environmental standards that ensure competitiveness and safety.
17. RESTORATION: All parties will work to restore and protect deteriorating environments. Will work to protect and revive endangered species.
