It would undergo reformation in 1995 after the overthrow of Kibwe Chipo with many of its old leadership being ousted and its structure recreated. The TAF has been involves in multiple conflicts, with the largest being the Bulamu War in the 1960s as well as both civil wars and several smaller internal rebellions.
