Tomas Lundberg (born 29th May 1978) is a Blostlandic politician and current Vice Primer of Blostland since 2021. He has been a member of Vallmo Party since 1987, he once represented the city of Ericsala before becoming Vice Premier.
Early and private Life
Born to Nicholas Timms and Jane Lundberg in the city of Ericsala, Skooglän, Lundberg is of Half-Estmerish descent, something that later in life, he said inspired him to work in activism. As a child he’d be raised with a religious education until high school where he’d enter the public education system, becoming well known locally for his work in clubs and sports.
Lundberg is a self proclaimed Christian something that has earned him scorn from the right as he has supported supposedly anti-Christian bills. Lundberg has two kids Erik and Micheal, Lundbergs wife died in 2019 after complications from a virus in her lungs.
Lundberg has earned the nickname “The Saint” from liberals outside Blostland for his work in helping the migrant community.
Social Activism
At 20 Lundberg would join the Blostlandic Section of the Workers International working as a minor organizer in minority communities, after a falling out with his colleagues he’d leave the party joining a government program to aid immigrants who had recently moved to Blostland. He’d be recognized by the government a number of times for his efforts as the youngest member of the program.
He’d be pouched by the Vallmo Party who after hearing about his achievements would offer him a job as an organizer with minorities and immigrants. He stayed as merely an organizer for a number of years until he was convinced to run as a member of parliament for Ericsala.
Member of Rikstag
Successfully winning his seat for Ericsala Lundberg would use his position to promote equality and the protection of the rights of immigrants. He’d become a prominent neutral member of the Vallmo Party being used for a number of committees and important positions because of his apparent willingness to work with almost anyone.
He’d become close friends with Ravel Backström during this time and she’d go as far as to back many of his radical pushes for immigration reform.
Vice Premier
Having a close relationship with Backström and being a well respected member of the party she’d pick Lundberg to be her Vice Primer when she ran for office in 2021. As Vice Primer Lundberg has been focused on building a strong infrastructure to help immigrants and minorities, this included creating the Ministry of Immigration and growing ties with the two minority parties in the Rikstag.
Lundberg has also used his position to inject himself into the Tsbaran crisis, sending a number of letters to various leaders around Tsbara urging for peace and a shift towards more talks.
