Training Command is one of the major commands of the Royal Radictistan Air Force. Training Command is responsible all initial training of officers, warrant officers, and enlisted personnel of the RRAF including the pilot training pipelines. Training Command is headquartered at Helding Air Base which is also the location of basic training for all enlisted personnel.

Enlisted training

All enlisted personnel begin their service with Basic Airman Training at Helding Air Base. BAT lasts seven and a half weeks. Upon completion of BAT, personnel are then dispatched to second-tier training at one of several bases according to their occupational specialty.

Officer training

There are two routes of entry for commissioned officers in the RRAF: the Royal Air Force Academy and Officer Candidate School. The Royal Air Force Academy is a three-year program. Officer Candidate School is a roughly ten week program. Officer candidates attend OCS at either Brightburg Air Base or Zweibul Air Base in Eastval. Warrant Officer Candidate School is located at Zweibul Air Base. WOCS is open to to noncommissioned officers with at least nine years in service and lasts seven weeks.

Aircrew training

Basic Flight Training

Basic Flight Training is the preliminary flight training course undertaken by all candidate pilots. Royal Air Force Academy cadets attend BFT during their course of study. Instruction is provided by 215 Flying School at the academy airfield. 221 Flying School at Helding Air Base provides BFT for newly commissioned graduates of Officer Candidate School. BFT is conducted on the Konavia Mantis light aircraft.

Primary Flight Training

Basic Flight Training is followed for all trainee pilots by Primary Flight Training at Said Air Base. PFT is conducted on the PC-7 Mk II.

Advanced Flight Training

After Primary Flight Training, student pilots are sorted into one of several training pipelines based on their class rank. Pilots on the fighter/strike track attend Initial Fast Jet Training at either Smolik Air Base in Yestingsur or Heine Air Base in Hyarpsur. IFJT flight training occurs on L-39 and Yak-130 aircraft. Pilots selected for service on large multi-engine aircraft such as bombers and transports attend the Multi-Engine Advanced Course at Rotbarg Air Base. Those assigned to the rotary wing track attend the Rotary Wing Advanced Course at Brightburg Air Base. RWAC training is conducted on the Ansat-U aircraft.

Other aircrew

Non-pilot aircrew such as Navigators and Weapons Systems Officers receive initial flight training at Rotbarg Air Base. 21 Flying School operates eleven modified An-72 transports designated An-72Sau (Radictistani: Systemausbildung). Inside each aircraft are a number of consoles for practical instruction in the operation of various navigational aids and other onboard electronic systems. 21 Flying School also trains Royal Radictistan Navy personnel who will serve as mission crew on Tu-142 aircraft.

Operational conversion

Training Command maintains several Operational Conversion Units, each providing final orientation and tactical training for a particular aircraft or family of aircraft. Other aircraft operated in smaller numbers, and most noncombat aircraft generally, conduct conversion training within the line units.
