Transportation in the Empire of Amenria has changed and expanded since the time of the People's Republic of China, being positively affected with the discovery of the hover drive and hard light, and the improvement of AI technology in the later days of People's Republic and the earlier days of the Empire. Since the founding of the Empire, transportation nodes have been more widespread in previously less developed areas as opposed to being concentrated in key areas such as coasts as seen in the predecessor state.
The railway system is the primary means of long distance transport and is largest in the planet with over 250,000 km of lines. The country was the first to open multiversal portal terminals and today, the Mutiara Porterminal, remains the busiest hub of multiversal travel in the world. By 2043, the number of metro systems in the state of Central Amenria alone have almost tripled.
